And the dog is like: “Christmas? New year? That sucks, I want to go to sleep… Oh and by the way take this ridiculous bow tie off of me”

ANTIGA MENTE NOVA – stencil mural
November 28th, 2012

Part of the WOOL on tour, this 22mt stencil mural in LX Factory, Lisbon, is part of the work I’ve been developing around the traditional portuguese tiles (called azulejos). A message is stated and a bridge is created between the traditional tiles, it’s reinterpretation and the way the old meets the new. Through shapes, elements and techniques.
ANTIGA MENTE NOVA it’s a word game between ‘antigamente’, ‘antiga mente’ and ‘mente nova’ (‘formerly’, ‘old mind’ and ‘new mind’).

Big thanks and love to WOOL and Lara Seixo Rodrigues for the invitation and João Miguez for all the help.

Not dead, just not online
September 29th, 2012
Lately people ask me “Hey why don’t you post stuff on Facebooktwitterinstagram? Don’t you have new works? New tiles? drawings, new artwork (or whatever the hell you do)?” Well, I usually post teaser images of new stuff I’m doing and photos of my dog on those platforms, but for the last couple weeks, I have been intensely working on some great projects that I didn’t even remember to keep you (the friendly reader) updated.
But yes, fear not. I have new tiles; new unique panels ready and a limited edition dropping soon. I have new illustrations, have a video to work on (from that big tile mural in the Azores for Walk&Talk) and there’s a new mural in Lisbon coming soon.
Boom! You’ve been updated!
